Acronym or Term	Definition
		Automated Biller Download (ABD)	A batch file with Biller information that the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange delivers to Payer Institutions.
		Biller	Biller means an organization that is enrolled in the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Program (either directly or through a Biller Service Provider) to: • Send a bill or statement to a Payer for their Payer’s Billing Account • Receive payment for such bill or statement through the applicable Settlement System and the Biller’s financial institution. The Biller (either directly or through a Biller Service Provider) sends and receives Data Transactions through the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Network.
Biller Service Provider	Biller Service Provider means a Biller’s service provider or Biller’s financial institution that is enrolled in the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Program that sends and receives Data Transactions through the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Network on behalf of a Biller. In approved Territories, a Biller may elect for Mastercard to be their Biller Service Provider by entering into the Mastercard Biller Service Provider Terms and Conditions.
Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange	Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange program, which provides an electronic messaging network through the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Network pursuant to the Standards.
Consumer	A person that has a contractual relationship with a PI to access and use Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange. NOTE: For the document purpose, Consumer is equivalent to Payer. See Payer definition for details.
Settlement Systems	Used by Customers to authorize, process and settle a Financial Transaction.
Distributor (DSTR)	For the purpose of this document, this is equal to Biller Service Provider. See Biller Service Provider.
ICA	A unique number assigned by the Corporation to identify a Customer in relation to Activity.
Invoicee	A person who is invoiced by the Biller. NOTE: For the document purpose, Invoicee is equivalent to Payer. See Payer definition for details.
Participant	A Consumer Financial Institution, a Biller, a Distributor, or a Biller Service Provider.
Debtor/Payer	Debtor/Payer means a user that holds an Account and that is enrolled to receive and pay bills issued by Billers through the Sender’s implementation of the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Program.
Payer Institution	Payer Institution means a Payer’s financial institution or other entity approved for participation that is enrolled in the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Program (either directly or through a Sponsor Entity) and which sends and receives Data Transactions through the Mastercard Bill Pay Exchange Network and settles Financial Transactions through the applicable Settlement System.
Payment Request	Payment Request means the process by which a Biller (directly or through their Biller Service Provider) presents a bill or a statement to a Debtor/Payer.
Link Request	Link Request means the process by which a Payer links to their Billing Account at a Biller.
RPPS	Remote Payment and Presentment Service.
CAPO	Card As Payment Option.
